The Burner Management System (BMS) is at the heart of the combustion system safety. The BMS controls such things as purge time, lightoff sequence and continuously monitors all safety related parameters around the combustion system. Designing a BMS requires total knowledge of all parameters involved as well as applicable codes and regulations.
I have designed and commissioned several Burner Management Systems based on relays, PLC's, solid state electronics as well as distributed control systems.
